Papers for the proceedings
Proceedings (in a book form) of only refereed papers (up to 8 pages for contributed talks and up to 12 pages for key lectures) will be published (tentatively) by Springer-Verlag of their Lecture Notes in Computer Science. Each paper publication must be covered by separate registration fee.
Currency:
The Bulgarian currency is called LEVA (BGL). At present it is exactly equal to
1.95 BGL = approx. 1 EU
This means 1.6 BGL approx. = 1 USD at present.
Traveling Information
You have two
choices:
TRAVELING VIA SOFIA.
There are regular buses approximately on each hour. The bus takes about 4-4.5 hours depending on the trafic. The buses start from the parking in front of central railway station or from the parking in front of Hotel Sofia Princess on the other side of the street. There are also 4 trains starting from central railway station: 8h30min, 15h10min, 19h30min, 22h30min. The trip by train takes approximately 7 hours: http://www.bdz.bg
Transportation to Central Railway Station from Sofia Airport
By bus: Take the bus line # 84, bus stop Hotel Pliska, then take the bus line # 213, 313, 305 or 413, bus stop central railway station. The price of one bus ticket is 0.50 BGL. You should buy it before entering the bus.
By taxi: We recommend you to use a taxi company with a set price, and to ask for the price before entering the taxi. The distance to the central railway station is approximately 15 km.
Also, we will arrange a
bus, or a minibus(es) to Ruse. The bus will start on June 28, 2004, between
14:00 and 16:00 (depending on the last flight with participants). For those of
you who wish to go by the conference bus and whose flights come on one of the
previous days we will arrange hotels in Sofia.
Similarly, we will arrange a bus from Ruse to Sofia on July
3, 2004 (early morning). The bus will combine the excursion Ruse-Veliko
Tirnovo-Arbanasi-Gabrovo. We are planning one overnight in Gabrovo (in a
hotel/student dormitory) and early morning on July 4 some of the participants
willleave for Sofia, other will come back in Ruse. The cost will be negotiated
in the near future but not more than 15-20 BGL for a one-way ticket.
TRAVELING VIA BUCHAREST.
There
are three trains per day between Ruse and Bucharest. The distance is about 75 km but it takes at
least 2 hours because you are passing the border. There will be a new time table
for the trains starting from May 27, 2004. Therefore, we will supply the exact
times of departure from Bucharest in May. Detailed information for how to get
from the airport to the railway station, and then to Ruse will be sent to
those who would like to use this opportunity.

Deadline for proposal for organizing of minisymposium: 1st December 2003
Deadline for summary submissions: 30th May 2004
Notification of acceptance: 5th June 2004
Deadline for paper submissions: 30th May 2004
